CJ Opiaza is set to be crowned the new Miss Grand International 2024, following Rachel Gupta’s dethronement.

Initially the first runner-up, she now brings home the Philippines’ first-ever Miss Grand International title. The Miss Grand International (MGI) organization announced that her coronation is scheduled for June 3 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

MGI Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria extended his congratulations to CJ, emphasizing that she truly deserves the Miss Grand International 2024 title.
“With today’s unexpected turn of events, we now believe that you were destined to get what’s rightfully yours. It was only a matter of time before the Miss Grand International crown eventually sought you as its rightful and more deserving recipient. Wear it with pride!” he said.
“Congratulations, CJ Opiaza, for finally making history as the first Filipina to win the Miss Grand International crown!”

CJ marked her latest milestone by sharing fiercely stunning photos of herself donning a red ensemble by Francis Libiran.
“Rising from the golden ashes is a Phoenix who is ready for a comeback to conquer the grandest heights. I am Christine Juliane Opiaza, Miss Grand International 2024 from the Philippines,” she declared.

On May 28, Rachel Gupta announced she was stepping down from her Miss Grand International 2024 title, citing “broken promises, mistreatment, and a toxic environment” as the reasons behind her decision.
Shortly after her announcement, the MGI organization released an official statement declaring the immediate termination of her title.
