An artist based in Pampanga showcased his latest creation, an amazing drawing of legendary mambabatok Apo Whang-Od.
Erwin Dayrit created the drawing using ballpoint pens. His drawing of Apo Whang-Od is a real as it can get even though he just used pens. He was able to capture the right gradient to display the legendary mambabatok.
Erwin, who is born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a bone disease that makes his bones prone to breaking easily, has been creating amazing drawings for a long time.
In the past, he has created portraits of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and basketball legend Michael Jordan.
However, his creation of Apo Whang-Od’s portrait is special because he delivered it to the legendary mambabatok personally. Erwin, with the assistance of GMA TV show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, went up to the high mountains of Kalinga to give Apo Whang-Od’s portrait.
It was a momentous event because it was also the meeting of two amazing artists.
