Aiming to showcase the current trends in information management, the Information Management Conference and Competition, or IMC, is now just around the corner! In its fourth year, IMC has decided to take on the exploration of an aspect of information management that has become very prominent in how our society functions today: Mobility. This has allowed the dissemination of information to break bounds, inspiring the focus of IMC on the unlimited possibilities presented by the concept of mobility.

Participants from colleges and universities all over Metro Manila are welcome as IMC serves as an avenue for college students to test their knowledge in Information Management and exercise their critical thinking skills. For a deeper look into the various aspects and applications of mobility, professionals from the IT industry have been invited to tackle such topics throughout the first two days of the conference. The information obtained through these talks is to be utilized by participants in the competition; however, contrary to the past years of IMC, this year’s competition does not solely revolve around participation in the business case competition on the final day of the conference. Special tasks will be delegated to the participants throughout the conference and will be considered in the competition, but these will not be revealed until the conference. No IT skills, such as programming, are needed for the competition as the tasks focus on the information in the lectures and the utilization of problem-solving skills. Winners of the competition will be determined by a panel of professionals from the IT industry.
