Palawan has always been close to my heart. It’s the place where I go to when I’ve had enough stress from the city or if I want to spend time with my family there.
Though there are a few hotels and homestays in Palawan, it’s always nice to welcome a new addition to the growing family to take care of Filipino and foreign guests and show them what Palawan has to offer.
Hue, located along North Road of Puerto Princesa is strategically located near Robinsons. You won’t miss it, the facade is unique from its neighbors.
Opened in June 2017, Hue Hotels and Resorts aim to bring a hip and vibrant vibe to Puerto Princesa where tourists can relax, unwind and gear up for adventures on the Island.
As soon as you enter the hotel, you will see some beautiful pieces of furniture that decorations that gives that hip look to the hotel. I personally loved the bird decors on the walls and the pops of colors on the lobby.
The rooms are very spacious and the size is just right for small families or a barkada. The shower is separate from the toilet and the wash bin with vanity is located by the door.
You can choose from different kinds of rooms, I stayed in a room with two twin beds. Though I have a schedule to follow, it’s actually a little hard to leave the room because of how beautiful and cozy it was.
The theme of the interiors from the lobby to the rooms are consistent. The pops of colors can be seen in accent pieces and weaved items like the rugs and throw pillows.
If you are hungry, you don’t have to worry! Hue has one of the best chef’s in town and serves mouth-watering dishes that will make you forget your diet.
Their Restaurant by the lobby called Matiz serves one of the best boneless crispy pata’s I’ve had. You also have to try their sriracha chicken and their specialty bread which they bake in-house.
If you want to relax and see the beautiful city of Puerto Princesa, you can go up the roof deck and chill by the swimming pool.
The pool is actually one of the highlights of Hue Puerto Princesa. The glass panels are one of the things that people are drawn to whenever they look from the outside of the hotel. The flooring of the swimming pool is meticulously built with thoughts of banderitas for a more festive look.
Wheninmanila.com had a quick chat with the ManagingDirectors Dennis and Dexter Lee who has been eyeing Palawan as they ventured on Hotels from their Mall business. They said that they have plans of opening another Hue Hotel in Boracay in the same year. Hue Hotels and Resorts is managed by HII or Hotel Innovators Inc.
