Huawei bags major awards at 15th Philippine Quill Awards

Huawei Philippines took home three awards in the recently concluded 2017 Philippine Quill Awards.

The prestigious annual Quill Awards is given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines to honor companies and creative agencies that displayed excellence in business communication.

The global tech giant took an Award of Excellence in three separate categories:

(1) Marketing, Advertising, and Brand Communications

(2) Media Relations and

(3) Social Media Programs for its campaign entitled Huawei: The Making of a Challenger Brand Through the Introduction of the Huawei P9.

The said campaign that was developed by Huawei Philippines in collaboration with Ogilvy Public Relations-Pulse Communications Manila also scored two Gold Anvils in the recently concluded 52nd Anvil Awards.

The Huawei P9 campaign heightened brand awareness and consideration with Filipino consumers through harping on the Filipino consumers’ passion for photography.

As a result, the P9 became the number one Googled Huawei smartphone in the Philippines. With more than 110 million PR values, it has translated to consideration and trial, outselling its predecessor by five times and tripling the brand’s market share in only a span of six months.
