Have you always wanted to try the bushy brows makeup trend but can’t coz wala kang kilay? Same, sis. I mean, there is nothing wrong with the ‘fleek eyebrows’ that we all have tried, tested, and perfected but for me, they are more suited for full-glam makeup looks. Bushy brows, on the other hand, look more natural and is perfect for day-to-day makeup.
Although, when you don’t have that much hair like the models and influencers, the million-dollar question is which makeup products are needed and how to achieve bushy brows?
This is how I normally look without makeup. As you can see in the photo below, I do not have thick eyebrows so it is essential to my makeup routine.
There are TONS of eyebrow products available in various beauty stores and they can get really pricey. It is overwhelming and intimidating, right? So if you are one of those who are a little bit lost but found this article, I have good news for you – here is an affordable and easy bushy brow tutorial using Ekora Cosmetics!
Ekora Cosmetics is a local brand where you can buy affordable makeup made from natural ingredients. Their products claim to be professionally formulated, paraben-free, and cruelty-free.
First, here are the brow products and tools that you will need:
- Ekora ‘Bushy Natural’ Brow Soap [Clear – Php 190; Mocha (brown) – Php 220]
- Ekora ‘Brow Natural’ Brow Pomade [Ebony (black), Auburn (brown), & Russet (deep brown) – Php 130 each]
- Angled brow brush and spoolie
Now, you are ready to achieve your bushy kilay goals!
- Spray your spoolie with mist or dip it in water.
- Scrape the brow soap using the damp spoolie.
- Apply the soap over your brows in an upward direction or to your desired shape.
- Use the angled brush and brow pomade to fill in some spots and balance them out.
Here is how it looks on me after these quick and easy steps!
If you noticed in the photo without makeup, the hair on the tail of my brows is thin so I used the ‘Mocha’ shade of brow soap in that area. Then, I used the clear one on the rest to even it out. For those who have naturally thick brows, you may also use the clear brow soap to keep them in place.
Finally, the shade of gel pomade I used is ‘Russet’ to match my brows with the roots of the hair on my head. I did not use the jet black shade as it may look too heavy. Those who know me personally remember well that I do not have kilay (lol), so it will only defy our goal to make it natural-looking.
You may also add other makeup essentials to your cart when you shop Ekora Cosmetics’ products!
Their Powdertints that can be used for lips, cheeks, and lids claim to be:
- and with Vitamin B & E.
They will also launch the Bloom Clay Blush soon!
Now, you can snap a fresh makeup look selfie with your Instagram-perfect bushy brows complete with trendy powder tint shades! These basics will also come in handy for quick online meetings. 😉
Needless to say, we are helping our fellow Filipinos during these trying times by supporting local beauty products. #LoveLocal
