As if the flavorful treat from Jasper’s House of Chicken wasn’t enough, Ian led us to the direction of two more food stalls. The night was still young, our taste buds were still yearning for more and our stomachs still had some space. And so, we trekked along on the yellow brick road toward the panini specialty business, New York Minute Paninis.

Philly Cheese Steak: Our favorite!
We were given generous servings of their best flavors: NYPD (New York Pizza Delight), Empire Steak of Mind, Brooklyn Bird, Philly Cheese Steak, Veggie Delight. NY Minute Paninis cater to youngsters and night owls on-the-go, and with satisfying tastes, quirky names and convenient packaging, it has become popular among the night shift crowd.

Next stop: Wrap Battle! The brainchild of Paul Wenceslao, resulting from the goal to try something new in the wrap market, Wrap Battle has assorted flavors some of which I’m sure you’ve never chanced upon before in any other wrap resto. Paul said he wanted something quirky and different compared to other restaurants that serve wraps. Reiterating on the fact that, it’s NOT shawarma, I think he may have a breakthrough in a definitely bright and new concept in marketing.

One way he makes his wrap crowd grow is by playing on their vanity: posting pictures of his customers on his FB page! Aside from that, Paul puts on a show in cooking and preparing his wraps. With flair and top notch performance level, he invites and entices onlookers to try on his masterful creations. They actually work, he even got the attention of actress/host Karylle!

After our meals, conversations and market rounds, we capped off the night with a bottle of beer. It started to rain but it was alright. The night was really fun, an evening worth remembering and an experience worth repeating! Plus, the quirky concept of truck restaurants certainly draws in a good weekend crowd.
