It’s officially Oscar season! Following the release of the complete list of nominees, Hollywood celebrities expressed their excitement and gratitude for being recognized.

1. Cynthia Erivo
Multi-award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, who wowed moviegoers with her stellar performance in Wicked, received a nomination for Best Leading Actress.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 38-year-old British actress couldn’t be anymore thankful for The Academy, as well as everyone she has worked with in the blockbuster musical film.
If Cynthia wins the Oscar for Best Actress, she could become the youngest EGOT winnerโsomeone who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.
“Moments like this donโt come along very often, and when they do, it is sacrilege to let them pass by without a moment of gratitude. I am grateful, grateful toย @theacademy, grateful to be a part of something that makes people feel seen, grateful to be a cog in the wheel of a piece that makes us believe in magic, grateful to have experienced a dream come true, and deeply deeply grateful for this unbelievable recognition,” she wrote.
2. Colman Domingo
Colman Domingo, who starred in the prison drama Sing Sing, has been nominated for Best Leading Actor. This marks his second Academy nomination, the first being in 2024 for Rustin.
“To be recognized with my brothers that I admire. Made with love. Made with hope. Made for the love of art and all the healing powers that it can possess. A toast to our BELOVED company,” he shared.
3. Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande couldnโt help but get emotional upon receiving her first-ever Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Wicked.
The multi-award-winning pop star, who was previously nominated in the same category at the Golden Globes, dedicated the milestone to her younger self.
“Iโm humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered,” she said in a heartfelt Instagram post. “I’m so proud of you, tiny.”
4. Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana received another Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in the musical crime-comedy film Emilia Pรฉrez. She previously won in the same category at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Following the announcement of her nomination, the 46-year-old Dominican-American actress is in a festive mood.
“I am truly honored and grateful for the nomination. Thank you so much for considering me for this award. I am thrilled to be among such talented company. Emilia Pรฉrez was made with love. Thank you to @theacademy and its members for recognizing our work. Jacques!!!!! BINGO!” she wrote in another Instagram post.
For this year, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pรฉrez dominated the nominations with 13 nods, while Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist and Jon M. Chu’s Wicked received 10 nominations each.
The prestigious awards show will take place on March 3, 2025 (Manila time) at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
