If you’re looking for your own personal paradise without having to drive for hours or hop on a plane, we’ve found the sweetest escape for you to enjoy. Hilom Studio by Solace is a newly opened private villa that will transport you to another part of the world without having to endure jetlag.
Hilom Studio by Solace is a new villa rental created by the same people who built Solace View Resort in Antipolo, Rizal.
Hilom Studio is also in Antipolo, Rizal, but it’s located in the lower part of the city; pretty much on the boundaries of Marikina City and Antipolo City. So, it’s easy to find if you’re coming from the Metro.
This villa is tucked inside a quiet subdivision and when you drive by, you probably won’t realize that there’s a hidden paradise between the white walls and massive wooden door.
Walking into Hilom was like stepping into a whole new world. The property features so much open space and so much natural light. It has an elevated minimalist Moroccan-style vibe which we adored. We honestly couldn’t get enough photos and videos in the place because every corner was picture-perfect.
You’ll first step into the outdoor living area with a massive couch, a smart TV (with Netflix!), a mini Bluetooth karaoke (which we loved), and a few board games.
Beside the living area is the massive dining table which can seat up to 10 people. It’s easy to set up a feast here as well if you’re celebrating a special occasion.
Even further into the property lies the open kitchen area which also features a bar. Their kitchen already includes an induction stove, pots & pans, cooking utensils, a microwave, a rice cooker, and even an electric kettle. If you’re planning to cook here, all you need to do is bring your food, drinking water, and utensils—plates, spoons, forks, and drinking cups. This is for hygiene purposes.
The real highlight of Hilom is the gorgeous dipping pool that’s easily accessible from every point of the villa—whether you’re coming from the kitchen, the living room, or the bedroom, you can jump right in!
Take note that the outdoor pool can only go as deep as 4 feet, but it’s perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day, especially when you’ve got your friends in the pool with you, too.
This pool sits right under twinkling lights, so it gets extra relaxing at night. There’s also an outdoor shower, a couple of waterproof bean bags, and a gorgeous daybed swing right beside the pool.
One of my favorite spots to lounge around was the daybed swing. Aside from being super comfortable, it also offered a perfect view of the smart TV and the pool—it was the best of both worlds.
The common areas may be out in the open but don’t worry about comfort because they have more than enough electric fans to keep you all cool; plus, the area seems to be colder than the Metro.
Now, we’re on to the bedroom. Hilom has one spacious bedroom with 4 beds that can fit up to 10 people comfortably. The bedroom offers soft curtain dividers which add to the sophistication of the room.
The beds, pillows, and duvets are super comfy; and the strong airconditioning unit in the room ensures a great night’s sleep.
Hilom provides a space for you to “heal” from the busyness and noise of the city. It’s a great place to escape, unwind, and recharge, especially for the busier days to come.
For us, our stay at Hilom felt like having our very own slice of paradise. Whether you’ll be staying here with a significant other, your closest friends, or your family, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the same serene relaxation we did.
