LOOK: Our Filipino Olympic Gold Medalists In One Picture

The country’s best athletes posed for a photo (or three) together at the Paris Olympics, and it can’t get any more iconic than this!

Hidilyn Diaz and Carlos Yulo reunited at the city of love to celebrate Yulo’s historic back-to-back Olympic Gold wins as seen in Diaz’s Instagram post yesterday, August 9. They took photographs with the Eiffel Tower in the background as Yulo showed off his hard-earned medals.

Salamat Caloy sa napakaganda at napakasayang pag-uusap!” Diaz wrote on her post. “Basta proud ako sa iyo, at lagi kitang ipagdarasal.

[“Thank you Caloy for our wonderful and happy catch-up! I am proud of you and I will always pray for you.”]

Yulo made the country proud by besting out his opponents at the men’s floor exercise and vault competitions, making him the first gymnast to win an Olympic medal for the Philippines.

This comes after Diaz also made history by becoming the Philippines’ first-ever recorded Olympic Gold Medalist by acing the women’s 55kg weightlifting competition at the Tokyo 2020 Games, ending the country’s 20-year medal drought.
