LOOK: Our Filipino Olympic Gold Medalists In One Picture

The countryโ€™s best athletes posed for a photo (or three) together at the Paris Olympics, and it canโ€™t get any more iconic than this!

Hidilyn Diaz and Carlos Yulo reunited at the city of love to celebrate Yuloโ€™s historic back-to-back Olympic Gold wins as seen in Diazโ€™s Instagram post yesterday, August 9. They took photographs with the Eiffel Tower in the background as Yulo showed off his hard-earned medals.

โ€œSalamat Caloy sa napakaganda at napakasayang pag-uusap!โ€ Diaz wrote on her post. โ€œBasta proud ako sa iyo, at lagi kitang ipagdarasal.โ€

[โ€œThank you Caloy for our wonderful and happy catch-up! I am proud of you and I will always pray for you.โ€]

Yulo made the country proud by besting out his opponents at the menโ€™s floor exercise and vault competitions, making him the first gymnast to win an Olympic medal for the Philippines.

This comes after Diaz also made history by becoming the Philippinesโ€™ first-ever recorded Olympic Gold Medalist by acing the womenโ€™s 55kg weightlifting competition at the Tokyo 2020 Games, ending the countryโ€™s 20-year medal drought.
