Earlier this month, it was announced that Sandara Park will debut as a solo artist this year.
Her solo debut will take place 14 years after she entered the K-pop scene as part of 2NE1.
According to reports, she recently finished filming her title track music video, and she is preparing for her album release.
Park confirmed the news on social media, saying, “Finally, Singer Dara is back with solo special mini album for my fans.”
She added, “Thank you so much for waiting. Nolza~!!!”
Now, it has been revealed that Park will release a self-titled digital EP that will launch on July 12, 2023, at 6 PM.
From the Philippines to Korea
Park got her start in showbiz when she joined Star Circle Quest in 2004. She finished in second place but went on to star in a series of movies with the season’s winner, Hero Angeles. Park even launched a self-titled album, which had the song “In or Out.”
In 2007, she moved to Korea with her family. She was signed to YG Entertainment and debuted as part of 2NE1 in 2009. Together with her bandmates Bom, CL, and Minzy, they released songs like “I Am the Best,” “Ugly,” “I Don’t Care,” and more. In 2016, the girl group disbanded.
Park continued her acting career with movies like One Step and Cheese in the Trap, and hosted shows like Video Star, Idol League, and Get It Beauty.
The K-pop star was recently in Pampanga with Jinu from WINNER, JR and Aron from NU’EST, and DINDIN. They were here to shoot Idol Truck Project, a show that promotes small and medium-sized businesses.
Park’s solo album will be her return to music after joining Park Bom for “Spring” in 2019.
