We went from Dalgona coffee to pancake cereal and, now, TikTok users are trying out something new: the cloud bread.
If you haven’t seen videos of people trying their hand at making the cloud bread, here’s what it looks like โ a really light and airy pastry that’s so fluffy to the touch and, quite possibly, melts in your mouth.

But whatย isย the cloud bread?
Like most recent food trends, the cloud bread isn’t a recent invention. In fact, it already blew up on the Internet years ago as a “carb-free” alternative to bread. What makes this version different is the ingredients which just requires three ingredients: eggs, granulated sugar, and cornstarch.
So how do you make the cloud bread?
You’ll only need the whites of three eggs. Whip them into a bowl with 30 grams of sugar and 10 grams of cornstarch until you get stiff peaks or are able to turn the bowl upside down without the whole mixture pouring out.
Transfer it into a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake it at 300 degrees Fahrenheit (around 177 degrees celsius) until the exterior becomes golden brown. It may take around 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of your cloud bread and the temperature of your oven, so keep an eye on them just in case.
Take them out and viola! You got yourself a fluffy pastry!
What else can you do with cloud bread?
Some people take it up a notch by mixing it with food coloring, and what they get is a bright, beautiful, and colorful creation. Others add extract too to add flavor.
