Have you watched The Witcher Season 2 yet? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? We got to talk to Henry Cavill about what to expect in the second season of this epic adventure, and he’s what he had to say.
Lots of Surprises and Adventures
“The audience can expect further adventures, especially with the deepening of Geralt and Ciri’s relationship. We’ll also get to meet the witchers at Kaer Morhen and there’s a lot of original story written for Yennefer, as well. So lots of surprises for book fans and game fans alike.”
An Epic Striga Fight
“As far as the visuals go, I think the striga fight was a really good one. I think Alex Garcia did an amazing job of capturing that.”
A More Book-Accurate Geralt of Rivia
“As far as the preparations go coming into this, I wanted the character to have a closer relationship to the character in the books. I wanted him to be more book-accurate so it was more to do with making sure and campaigning for him to sound more intellectual, more philosophical, and to have an emotional side, as well, rather than just be a grumpy snowman, to be a three-dimensional male character. And that, to me, was really, really important. And so, as far as the prep goes and everything else, every day I was pushing for this stuff. And that, to me, was the most important and how the prep changed from Season 1.”
Freya Allan’s Incredible Performance
“Obviously, I’ve had the most interaction with Cirilla’s story arc and so to see that whole thing realized and Lauren Hissrich’s version of the story is quite different from the books and so there are surprises for fans out there and I can’t wait to see what everyone feels about Freya’s incredible performance throughout the show.”
