When in Manila, let’s help when we can. For animal lovers, please heed the call of Strike Animal Welfare Society (SAWS) shelter, which currently houses around 50 dogs and 20 cats.
The shelter in Bacoor, Cavite was submerged in floodwater from the creek behind the site, leaving thick mud and garbage as the water subsided. SAWS lost all their dog food.
A team of volunteers from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) headed to Cavite to provide human and animal relief to victims of typhoon MARING. The team also trooped to the shelter to help clean up and bring dog food.
PAWS is asking the public for donations of the following (please note that PAWS distributes relief for both humans and animals):
ready to eat ulam
Usable clothes and towels
Hygiene kits (soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste etc)
Dog food (wet and dry)
