Hatsune: Your Budget-Friendly Authentic Japanese Restaurant

There is a saying that looks can be deceiving. Normally, authentic Japanese restaurants are expensive because of its tedious process and quality ingredients used in their dishes. But, don’t be fooled by the glamorous location of this gem of an authentic Japanese restaurant because the price is reasonable!

Hatsune Restaurant in The Bellevue Manila specializes in authentic Japanese cuisine. With that, they made sure to hire someone that is well-informed and cultivated like their head Chef, Katsuya Kawamoto. Chef Katsuya has 4 decades- worth of  culinary experience and now responsible for preparing exemplary dishes exclusively for Hatsune restaurant.

This Beef California Roll (P250) is incredibly delicious. Although I rarely eat meat, this was an absolute exemption.

This is Hatsune’s Spicy Tuna Roll. I’m not fond of spicy food but the level of spiciness of this delightful creation was balanced.

Essentially, the main considerations I have when dining at any restaurant are: (1) are they a kid-friendly place? (2) do they serve dishes perfect for 7 years old below?

If you have kids, trust me, your kids would love this!

and (3) is the serving size glorious for the whole family of 4 or 6?

Thankfully, Hatsune’s serving sizes are good for 2-3 persons. Each platter costs P250.

So, here’s a quick guide on what you’re going to expect at Hatsune:

  • They also have private rooms ideal for meetings, private events, and occasions.
  • They accept credit card payments
  • You could call ahead for reservations.
  • They are a kid-friendly restaurant as high chairs are available.
  • Best-sellers are the California Rolls, Chicken, Smoothies, Green Tea, and Coffee Jelly desserts.

The Hatsune Restaurant’s interiors compliment its quaint-elegant looking space.  Ultimately, the servers were attentive and in fact, the highlight of the day.

What needs to improve, though, is their consistency in serving the food – because some were served cold. Moreover, it would be better if they change the smoothie mugs into a more presentable glass. But other than that, if you’re into frugal living, you can visit Hatsune at an economical price!

I know you’re excited to know more so I made this short video clip about the food, interiors, and the people behind this gem of an authentic Japanese restaurant!

Hatsune is open everyday, from 11: 00 am to 2:00 pm for lunch and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm for dinner.
