There are a lot of establishments that are retro-inspired, but it’s not every day that you’ll see a 60s themed barbershop. Located in Imus, Cavite, 1960 Barbershop and Lounge will surely make you feel like you just traveled 50 years back in time. So if you’re a sucker for old school, you better check this out next time you need a haircut.

Once you enter the door, you will be greeted by black and white checkerboard tiles, a red and white sofa, and retro wall décor to complete that old-school look. I bet you’re already feeling that 60s vibe. The colorful ambiance and the friendly staff make it one of the most vibrant barber shops you’ll get to visit. I’m sure you won’t get bored while waiting for your turn.
Quality doesn’t always have to mean expensive and 1960 Barbershop proved us that. Their haircut starts at only Php 150 so your wallet will surely pat you on the back for that. Their barbers are skilled and friendly, and they are eager to suggest which type of haircut suits your face shape.
If you want something more unique, this barber shop also offers Hair Art for only Php300. It already includes shampoo and pomade. Add another Php300 and you can have your hair colored. Fun Fact: Did you know that, back in the day, barbers also performed surgery on people? The white pole symbolizes the rod that the patients grasp during a procedure and the red helix represents bloody bandages that were hung on the pole to dry. That’s some interesting information we learned from Warren, the owner of the barbershop.
