Guimaras Adventures: Land and Water Tours To Try

Guimaras Island Hopping Tour

Guimaras

Guisi Beach

This beach is secluded. I had a good time just by sitting and relaxing while having a good view of the sea and rock formations that line the beach.

Turtle Island

This island got its name from the old turtle living on it. It has  short stretch of brown, granular sand .This is the place that lets you laze around. There are, of course, cute little turtles you can enjoy taking photos of.

Ave Maria Islet

It is a small beach right in front of Turtle Island. It has fine cream-colored sand and crystal clear waters, perfect for beach bumming and enjoying the view.

It can be considered a paradise because it’s still unspoiled with  no lodges or shacks in sight.

Baras Beach

Baras Beach is a serene little island where you can get a striking view of the other islets along the sea.

Guimaras

Natago Island

The beach has granular sand and a mini sandbar that joins one small island to another. It is off the coast of mainland Guimaras. The island has spectacular rock formations and striking blue waters. However, it is privately owned  and visitors cannot stay for long.

Baras Cave

It’s fun to see an islet with a cave inside. However, it surely takes an expert boatman to get inside for the opening is relatively small. A colony of fruit bats is inside the cave and, noticeably, there is a small rock which is not yet fully submerged underwater.

Guimaras island is indeed a must place to see by everyone. I couldn’t find the right words to describe the feeling I had when I went to Guimaras. The photos could be enough reason to decide on planning a visit to this place real soon.

There is no direct flight to Guimaras.

If you’re coming from Manila, take a direct flight to Iloilo. Flight from Manila (MNL) to Iloilo (ILO) is approximately 1 hour long. The minute you land at Iloilo airport, ride a PUV Express van going to SM City Iloilo mall. It takes around 45 minutes to get there. After you get to SM City Iloilo, take a jeep bound for Ortiz Wharf and the time it will take will probably about 20 minutes. As  soon as you reach the wharf, an available boat bound for Jordan (the capital of Guimaras) can be seen.

The trip to Jordan, Guimaras takes roughly 20 minutes one-way.
