Gladys Reyes Wins Best Actress Award, Attributes Supportive Husband Christopher Roxas

Gladys Reyes was awarded as the best actress in the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for her portrayal of Nita Balagtas, a grieving wife in the movie “Apag.” Directed by Brillante Mendoza, “Apag” tells the story of the wealthy Raphael (played by Coco Martin), who got involved in a fatal car accident and tried to cover up the incident.

Upon receiving the Best Actress in a Leading Role award, Reyes credited her husband Christopher Roxas in an Instagram post saying that marrying him was her biggest win.

Then, she explained how Roxas played a huge role for her to achieve her dream.

Finally, she thanked her supportive partner. Mahal kita Mr. Sommereux. 30 years ago hanggang ngayon, kasama ng apat nating mga anak,” she penned. “Salamat sa inspirasyon.”

“Apag” also stars Cannes 2016 Best Actress Jaclyn Jose, Lito Lapid, and Mercedes Cabral.
