This Fudgy Chocolate Cake is So Good, You’ll Keep Craving It

I am a self-proclaimed chocolate cake addict. I actually love chocolate cake so much, I once went on a mission to find the best chocolate cake in Manila. Back then, I hadn’t tried Moonchild yet, though – and now that I have, I must say: they have blown my mind.

If you like your chocolate cake the way I do – fudgy, not too sweet, and full of flavor – then you need to try Moonchild’s decadent chocolate cake. Lea is the baker behind this delicious concoction and Moonchild actually started out as a necessity when her husband lost his source of income due to the pandemic.

“We needed to get creative with our time; so, given my background in the culinary arts, we decided to dabble in the food industry,” she shares. As for the cake, she literally just baked the recipe for her fatherโ€™s birthday and when her family tried it, they encouraged her to sell it. (Thank you, Lea’s family!)

As simple as it looks, Moonchild’s cake is deliciously sinful. You can really tell that they use nothing but the best ingredients in making their cakes – plus a whole lotta love! Nothing hits the spot like old-fashioned baked goods made from scratch. What makes Moonchild stand out even more is that all of their products are lovingly and meticulously crafted. You can be assured of quality each and every time you order.

As an added bonus, the cake tastes good after sitting out for a while (for the utmost fudginess!) but also straight out of the fridge or freezer for days when you simply cannot wait to take a bite. You can even microwave it for some intense melted ganache. Ergh. Just typing about it is making me crave it again…..

Moonchild’s decadent chocolate cake is also the perfect gift to give your loved ones. Whether you’re thinking of a Valentine’s gift to give or simply want to surprise someone you love during the pandemic, they will definitely appreciate this sweet surprise. And it comes in such pretty packaging, it’ll really feel like a gift made just for them.

“My goal is to cook and bake food that your family and your friends will not only love but will want to eat time and time again,” Lea shares. “Life is meant to be enjoyed and doesnโ€™t good food just make it more enjoyable?” Yes, Lea. It definitely does!
