Free Wi-Fi hotspots will be installed in quarantine centers around the Philippines through the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)’s Free Wi-Fi for All Program.

In a statement, the DICT said that the installation of free Wi-Fi hotspots will help health workers in their submission of situation reports online. Access to the internet will also help alleviate stress among our frontliners because they’ll be able to connect with their loved ones online.
In Luzon, these following centers will be installed with free Wi-Fi hotspots:
- Rizal Memorial Coliseum
- Philippine International Convention Center (PICC)
- World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM)
- Dagupan City Astrodome in New Clark City
- Athletes Village in Tarlac
- City Rest Drive Inn in Cagayan.
They will also be installing Wi-Fi hotspots in the Sacred Heart School for Boys in Cebu City in Visayas, and Ateneo de Zamboanga โ Lantaka Campus in Mindanao.
According to the department,ย “Through the DICTโs Free Wi-Fi for All Program, Filipinos can stay connected even in isolation.”
