Women’s Run PH was established just a year ago by Nicole de la Cruz – a strong advocate of women empowerment, with its rooted goal to increase women’s participation and empower them through running. It’s an event progression starting with a 5KM race increasing the category and eventually leading to a 21KM race which is perfect for women in all walks of life.
This year, Women’s Run PH is set to a bigger goal and wider reach as it introduces the first-ever Iloilo Women’s Run PH, alongside its well-established 2024 Manila Women’s Run PH. This expansion reflects their commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive community for women across the Philippines. By adding Iloilo to the roster of events, they aim to inspire even more women to join the movement towards health, fitness, and empowerment through running.
The 2024 Manila Women’s Run PH will be held at UP Diliman on October 20, 2024. This event is Co-Presented by Anlene which is their helping hand in celebrating women’s health for the month. It will be an avenue as well to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month as the PGH Cancer Survivor organization will participate in the event as an Advocacy Partner.
On the other hand, the first-ever Iloilo Women’s Run PH is Co-Presented by Megaworld, Iloilo, and will take place at Festive Walk Iloilo on November 10, 2024. This empowering event is also proudly partnered with CAMELEON, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and healing of young girl survivors of sexual abuse in Western Visayas. CAMELEON’s involvement is particularly meaningful as the event celebrates National Children’s Month, highlighting their shared commitment to supporting kids and youth.
Both the Manila Women’s Run PH and the Iloilo Women’s Run PH offer a friendly approach for beginners and a great experience for seasoned athletes. With race categories including a 1K Kids Dash, 5K, and 10K, participants of all levels can find a challenge that suits them.
