At Firehouse Pizza you can guarantee that pizzas will be served hot and fresh daily! Fresh from the oven and straight to your plate! You get to watch the chefs make your pizza in front of you, ensuring only quality fresh ingredients are used all the time!
Here mozzarella cheese is the star! I think any cheese lover would agree that mozzarella is one of the best cheeses out there. At Firehouse Pizza you get to try 5 kinds of mozzarella cheese toppings: Classic buffalo mozzarella, burrata, bocconcini, fior di latte, and scamorza–all imported straight from Italy. You even get to choose the cheese toppings that you’d like to go on your pizza. However, before we go any further, I think it’s best you know that here, they only serve pizza and salads – Oh! And ice cream. But honestly, with pizza this good why would you ask for anything else?
During our visit to Firehouse we were able to try their best dishes. For salads, we had their Mini Calzone Salad and Burrata Salad. For their classic pizza, we were able to try their Four Cheese Pizza and for their signature pizzas we got to taste Firehouse Pizza, which is their top seller, as well as Garish Gravlax–I know sounds intimidating but you’ll be interested to find out what it is.
This is their Mini Calzone Salad, it’s got baby spinach, dried tomatoes, pesto sauce, parmesan cheese, and a couple of mini calzones–hence its name. My favorite part about this dish are obviously the mini calzones, the crust is just the right chewy yet crispy texture and the stuffing is a blend of different meats so it has a very unique taste. Anything with a ball of burrata cheese on top gets me really excited. Let me introduce to you, their Buratta Salad. Garden tomatoes, burrata cheese, mesclun leaves, and balsamic olive oil is all you need for a simple yet delicious salad such as this. Just look at how the soft cheese oozes out when you cut into it! One of their classic pizzas, the Four Cheese Pizza. It’s got gorgonzola, parmesan cheese, ricotta, and of course mozzarella. If you’re a cheese lover, you’ll especially love this. My favorite moment was watching them bring this to the table, from the oven, and smelling all the cheese. Php500
Ah! Their best selling pizza–the Firehouse Pizza! I’ve got to be honest with you, this one was my favorite out of all three. If you’re a fan of all-meat pizzas then this should be your go-to. It’s got all the good stuff on it: prosciutto, chorizo, meatballs, jalapeno, salami, rucola, and chili oil! It wouldn’t be a Firehouse Pizza if it didn’t have a little heat to it! And once again, our dearly beloved ball of buratta cheese is placed on top. Php720. Remember when I said you get to choose the cheese you want on top? Well for this pizza you can choose between buratta cheese (which is the one you see in the picture), chili bocconcini (Php670), or scamorza cheese (Php620).
Now, this is the Garish Gravlax I mentioned earlier. Wondering what meat that is on top? That’s Vodka-cured beetroot salmon–who would’ve thought salmon would go well on pizza? If you’re into seafood or looking for a pizza that’s a little more light in flavor but is still different and unique you should definitely try this out. The menu suggests you eat with buffalo mozzarella for Php670, parmesan for Php650, or ricotta cheese for Php570.
Want to know another thing that sets Firehouse apart? Their dough is sourdough, which takes them about 48 hours to prepare. The sauces they use? Like the hot sauce and the chili oil? They’re all Firehouse’s concoction, so if you’re into adding a little spice on your pizza you should try that out too. This is Firehouse after all.
