Filipinos Can Start Applying For a Korean Tourist Visa Again Soon

The Korean Embassy in Manila on Friday morning, May 20, has announced that it will finally resume its issuance of Korean tourist visas.

The notice stated on the embassy’s website reads that “application and issuance of all types of visa, including tourist(C-3-9)” will continue on June 1, 2022. The embassy also said that tourists with multiple entry visas issued before April 5, 2020, which have not expired, may use them without re-application.

Travelers also won’t need to submit a Consent for Isolation.

This announcement comes a few months after the South Korean government partially lifted its travel restrictions, allowing entry for diplomats and foreign government officials, family of Korean nationals or foreign long-term visa holders in Korea, seafarers, and those with essential corporate activities in Korea, as well as travelers staying short-term for news coverage and employment.

More details will be shared by the Korean Embassy soon, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
