Fil-Am Shows Her Filipino Side to Her American Friends
Most of the time, Fil-Ams in the US get exposed to American culture. But what if it was the other way around? What if a Fil-Am showed her Filipino side to her American friends? That’s what Lara did. She invited her friends to Manila, Boracay, Coron, Banol Island, Kayangan Lake, and Macapulya, some of the best places in the Philippines to relax. In the video she took of their adventures, they ate at Goldilocks, went to the beaches, had a seaside lunch, went diving, watched basketball, and capped off their adventures with the Philippines’ national drink: San Miguel beer.

In the video, Lara says, ” My name is Lara. I am Filipino-American. I wanted to show my American friends my Filipino side, and see the Philippines through their eyes (and have a lot of fun).” In the end, she says, “I love living in America, but I’m proud as hell to be Filipino.”
