Fashion Modeling Portfolio : Through a Fashion Photographer’s Eyes.

 

 Symbiosis

To be able to come up with the kind of photos that should “WOW!” a potential client, models may also need the help of a fashion designer, a hairstylist and makeup artist. Practically, there will always be newbies in every trade just waiting for the right opportunity to showcase and enhance their skills with no payment or fees in tow. So, it is a symbiotic environment, so to speak, where the capabilities of one colleague do justice to another, whilst, a fashion photographer should be able to bring out the best once all the elements were put together and dare to break the rules. 

 

When elements are put altogether…

 
Right about on time: A fashion photographer can neither be a little too late nor too quick to click. Capturing reality in motion is like trying to capture a  shooting  star.

 

 

 

Playing with Black and White: Shifting to and experimenting on different shades of Black and White and angles, during which, getting around a model literally, can be tiresome in order to achieve that most absorbing shot.

 

 

 

Drama emphasized: Lighting adds essence that creates subtleties, producing a beautiful word called, DRAMA. If a model was made to pretend he/she were sad or, to look like he/she’s ready to fight during a photo shoot and, indeed looked like he/she is after, then it’s rightful to give credit to whom credit is due.

 

 

 

 

 

  To whom credit is due.

 

Someone who doesn’t boast of what he is capable of but, focuses on areas he wants to improve on while, continuously holding on to the concept of seizing beauty in a water droplet. Moonlighting as production assistant for fashion shows, he can be at your beck and call if you want pre-nup or debut photos done with style.

Therefore, it holds a lot of truth when I speak of fashion magazine demands not reaching rock bottom, when in Manila or, in any major cities in the world, owing a big part of it to photographers who continue to carry out a singular, striking element.
