Join me this weekend as I take you to an epic cruisin’  trip around Hong Kong island aboard the mighty Star Pisces   by Star Cruises and Resorts World Manila!

 

I’ve been wanting to experience a cruise ship trip for the longest time now but honestly I had no idea  on how to start planning for this journey so I did a bit of research and found out our very own Resorts World Manila is actually the first integrated resort hub in the Philippines that work hand in hand with Star Cruises! Star Cruises yeah! I never thought that Resorts World Manila is actually a part of a vast network of leisure, hospitality and tourism attractions working with a powerhouse of experts providing world class service to the public! Woaaahhh impressive ey??

 

I believe I’m now on the right track since I’ve heard soooo many great feedbacks about Star Cruises from relatives and friends! I remember my dad spent his vacation at Star Virgo years ago and he highly recommend it! Also, I heard that Resorts World Manila and Star Cruises are a part of Genting Hong Kong which is considered as one of the world leaders in the cruise ship industry so I’m pretty much convinced that I’m gonna be in good hands and will get my money’s worth if I decide to embark on a journey on any of their vessels!

 

For this quick weekend epic “me time” trip, I’ve decided to fly to Hong Kong and go cruisin’ around the island via Star Pisces! It’s my 1st ever time to stay on a cruise ship and I’m really excited! For this feature, allow me to share my experiences so you’d know what to expect by the time you try it yourself!

 

All aboard everyone!! Let the voyage begin!!

 

 

 first of course, you need to have your passport with you!

 

 

I’ve had my share of air travels and I recommend that you also try flying business class at times to experience luxury service deluxe while on cloud nine!

 

 

 After that 1.45min plane ride to Hong Kong, it only takes around 30 mins to get to the Ocean Terminal at Harbour City  to reach the ship!

For this voyage, we will be embarking on Star Pisces, Star Cruises‘ vessel which tours around Hong Kong Island!

 

 

 You need to pass the immigration first before embarkation 

 

 

 you’ll then be given this key card for your room , which also serves as your credit purchase card which you can use while on board

 

 

upon embarkation, I discovered that most  of the ship’s crew were actually Pinoys!  Upon knowing this, I immediately felt so safe and at home! 

Nothing beats Filipino hospitality!

 

 

a look at my stateroom which can accommodate a max of 3 people. I had a very comfortable stay at this room, it’s just enough for me. I missed having a companion though, I still believe that traveling alone can be challenging and exciting at the same time but to travel with another makes it more meaningful 

 

 

I heard there are sooo many things that can be done inside the Star Pisces so I had to convert some USD’s into HK Dollars!

One main feature which Star Pisces has is having their own casino where many Hong Kong locals and foreigners are crazy about. I wanted to try it out so badly but I guess I have to learn the basics first and prepare more money to burn.

 

 

One of the main attractions of the Star Pisces would be their highly entertaining shows featuring international acts! I had sooo much fun the whole time! The performers were darn great! Expect world class entertainment aboard the Star Pisces!

 

 

 

 

 

After filling my eyes with artful moving visions, it was time for me to fill my tummy with sumptuous Hong Kong dishes! Yay!

 

 

 The Star Pisces has 2 main restaurants and I’ve decided to dine at the Mariners to experience their buffet!

The great thing about spending your vacation at Star Pisces is that you get to enjoy more than just an authentic Hong Kong experience! It’s like the whole of Hong Kong packed in one ship! They have  dining, entertainment, accommodations and also an exclusive section dedicated to duty free shopping for that ultimate Hong Kong feel!!

 

 they got this shopping section for signature perfumes, liquor, watches, jewelry etc.

 

 

 aside from shopping, the Star Pisces also has an entertainment strip where you can sing your heart out at their Karaoke section!

I discovered that  Hong Kong locals are as crazy as Filipinos when in comes to Karaoke singing!

I noticed that most people aboard suffered from sea sickness and I would have to admit that I also felt a bit sick for a while but instead of focusing on the uncomfortable feeling, I’ve decided to surrender myself to the waves and enjoy every bit of it. I had this really nice comforting scoop of Maple Walnut Ice Cream  as a treat from Mr. Benson of Genting Hong Kong which made me forget my worries!  As I slept that night, I imagined myself being cradled by the sea’s sweet lullaby. I actually had a very long and relaxing rest that time! =)
