ENTERTAINMENT: Zanjoe Marudo nominated for International Emmy Award

Wow, this is awesome news!

Looks like Zanjoe Marudo’s stars are shining brighter than ever as he is nominated for an International Emmy Award. Zanjoe and the other nominees come from 18 countries. The announcement was made by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Zanjoe is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor for his performance in an episode of the ABS-CBN series Maalaala Mo Kaya (Remembering). In the episode Kweba (Cave), he played a father who raised his children inside a cave after the family lost their home after a storm.

Other nominees in the same category are Brazil’s Julio Andrade in Um Contra Todos (One Against All), France’s Kad Merad in Baron Noir, and Oscar-nominated British actor Kenneth Branagh in Wallander.
