Enjoy the Best of Local Craft Beer with Craftpoint Brew

Filipinos love beer as much as they love food. Each food is matched with the perfect beer and is served in any celebration you can think of. Craftpoint Brew started out by brewing their own beer at home. Their little garage served as their space to create different flavors depending on what they feel like or what taste they want to achieve.

They consider the art of brewing beer is a way they can express themselves. And it is breaking beer boundaries. Some may taste a little different but all these creations are fun, handcrafted, and amazingly local.

They only use natural and/or organic ingredients from different countries and, of course, from different parts of the Philippines. They brew in small batches to assure that each bottle is perfectly crafted.

Craftpoint Brew’s Studio is located at the EDSA Beverage Design Studio’s ground floor where you can taste freshly brewed beer or even get a tour to taste what they have to offer.

Two of the favorites from their brewery is Revolution and Summer Passion. These brews are reminiscent of some local beer favorites but made with the utmost respect and quality assurance.

Revolution may look quite tame when you pour it out, but don’t be fooled by the pale yellow color. It will surely knock you out in the first or second bottle. It has hints of fruitiness, peppery spice, bitterness, but still very smooth. It is perfect to pair with pasta, seafood, or any fatty delicious food.

Summer Passion, on the other hand, is your perfect companion for your getaways. It is tangy with a hint of passionfruit but with a gingery taste at the end. It is best paired with salads, chicken, fish, bread or cheese.

If you like your beer bitter, you might want to give Hopnosis a try. Made with 10 different hops from all over the world, Hopnosis is for those who want to explore new directions when it comes to beer. The bitter taste has a bit of citrus flavor to it and with a little tropical feel. It is best to pair with spicy dishes, steaks, and pork chops.

Another thing that I loved with Craftpoint Brew is their collaBrewations with artists. Each artist designs the label and even dictate how they want their specially crafted beer to taste like. Mayari by Tokwa Peñaflorida is chamomile lavender garden ale while Dee Jae Pa’este made the Makiling Magma which is mango chili pale ale.
