This is the stern warning of President Rodrigo Duterte as he calls on all government workers to be worthy public servants.
The President had earlier identified the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Bureau of Customs (BOC), and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) as the most corrupt agencies of government. Barely a month into office, the new administration ordered a reorganization of senior officers occupying key positions in the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the changing of guards at the New Bilibid Prison. Thirty-five Quezon City cops and 32 officers from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) were sacked from their posts and reassigned to Mindanao.
Amid the tanim-bala scare, the Office for Transportation Security was effectively abolished as the President made clear that no passenger would be detained or charged in court if an ammunition is confiscated.
