DOH reports 96 new COVID-19 cases, 3 new recoveries, and 9 additional deaths in the Philippines

The Department of Health (DOH) Philippines just announced 96 new COVID-19 cases (PH708 to PH803) which bring the total number of cases in the country to 803.

Meanwhile, the total number of recovered COVID-19 patients in the Philippines is now 31 after another three has been discharged. Here are the profiles of the recovered patients as of today:

PH4 (29th PH Recovery)

  • 48-year old Filipino male from Taguig City
  • With travel history from Japan
  • Onset of symptoms on March 3
  • Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 5
  • Discharged on March 19 asymptomatic with 1 negative result

PH66 (30th PH Recovery)

  • 25-year old Filipino male from Pasig City
  • No travel history; with exposure to known COVID-19 cases
  • Onset of symptoms on March 7
  • Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 13
  • Discharged on March 25 asymptomatic with 2 negative results

PH42 (31st PH Recovery)

  • 51-year old male from Pasig City
  • With travel history from Japan
  • Onset of symptoms on March 5
  • Confirmed positive for COVID-19 on March 11
  • Discharged on March 26 asymptomatic with 1 negative result

On the other hand, the COVID-19 death toll in the Philippines also rises to 54 including the additional 9 announced today.
