Doctor Strange 2 Is Coming Soon–Here’s What We Know So Far

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is coming really soon and we are super excited! The latest trailer was released back in February, but Marvel has been dropping really cool featurettes for the past weeks that we just can’t wait any longer!

Doctor Stephen Strange was last seen on “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. In the movie, he messed up a spell that made waves in the multiverse. Now, he will be facing the consequences of his own actions in the upcoming sequel.

In the trailer released in February, we saw Stephen Strange talk about having the same dream over and over again every night. In another trailer titled “Dream” that the studios dropped last week, Scarlet Witch talked about having a nightmare every morning.

Of course, we already saw Wanda Maximoff teaming up with the Sorcerer Supreme in the previous trailer. But here, we also saw Christine Palmer who appeared to be walking down the aisle and Strange waiting for her at the altar. Rachel McAdams plays the role of Christine Palmer, the doctor’s old flame at the Metro-General Hospital where he used to work as a surgeon.

Aside from Wanda and Palmer, Wong and Baron Mordo are also in the upcoming movie.

We also saw more villains in this trailer–an alternate version of Doctor Strange and Wanda, Gargantos, and more! They also revealed new characters like America Chavez who is played by Xochitl Gomez.

Marvel also shared a glimpse of the making of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, where Director Sam Raimi and the cast also gave us a hint of what to expect. According to the director, they “wanted to give fans what they wanted, just not exactly what they expected”.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen mentioned that “Unlocking the Multiverse creates a big Pandora’s Box” and Benedict Wong said that we’re now in “unknown territory.”

Marvel star Benedict Cumberbatch, on the other hand, described the sequel as “the most fantastic new phase of Marvel.”

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is set to be released in cinemas on May 6.
