For most of us, we may only know or have heard “AI” in Hollywood films or in high tech mind-blowing videos we’ve seen online. Huawei knows that we consumers are going use more AI apps in the future, so the Mate 10 is guaranteed to be fast, responsive and intuitive when using AI apps, even without a network connection. Now, I can go ahead and try out all the AI apps I like.
A dual camera that recognizes the world around you
As compared with my previous phones, my Huawei Mate 10 now has AI-powered Bokeh Effect and AI-powered Digital Zoom, capturing clear and sharp pictures of objects — even of those in motion.
I immediately noticed this when I tried taking photos of my pets. The Huawei Mate 10 has super fast laser focus and is able to freeze moving subjects with without blur.
It also has AI-powered Real-Time Scene and Object Recognition, which automatically chooses camera settings based on the object and scene to help me capture better photographs. For example, if you take a photo of a tree using your smartphone, your phone will only identify it as “green” or “brown” but with the AI-powered Huawei Mate 10, it recognizes it as a “tree” instead of just a simple color. And because it can recognize actual objects and various scenes, my Mate 10 also helps me automatically enhance my photos more. The trees become more alive, food becomes more appetizing, portraits have better skin tone etc.
The Huawei Mate 10 is also the 1st intelligent phone with an aperture of f/1.6 for both lenses. This means I can easily take beautiful shallow depth-of-field pictures, crystal-clear, low-light photographs, and blur-free shots of moving objects because my lens can capture more light due to its wider opening.
Instant translations using AI
My Huawei Mate 10 has a built-in Microsoft Translator that can instantly translate over more than 50 languages. No more need for me to download other slow space consuming apps.
All I have to do is, take a photo of the word/characters and my intelligent Huawei Mate 10 will instantly translate it in English for me.
Enhanced voice recognition thanks to AI
My Huawei Mate 10, enables me to still be heard with perfect clarity even in times when I have to whisper while talking. No need to make manual adjustments in settings or whatever – Huawei’s Ai technology does all the adjustments and enhancements for me automatically. Noisy calls are also easier to hear with AI-powered ambient noise cancellation.
Making and Receiving calls like a boss
With my Huawei Mate 10, I don’t need to press any button to make or receive calls – all have to do is raise my phone to my ear and it automatically answers incoming calls and dials my contact’s number. Furthermore, I just need to flip back my phone to mute incoming calls and alarms, plus I only have to pick up my phone to reduce its volume during incoming calls and alarms.
