Derek Ramsay is opening a new chapter in his life. In a recent YouTube vlog with showbiz insider Morly Alinio, the actor shared that his separation from Ellen Adarna was painful, but he’s finding peace.

“Talagang nasaktan ako,” Ramsay said. At the same time, he chose not to dive into the details, saying he prefers to respect everyone involved.
Instead, he focused on how he’s coping. The holidays were spent in the United Kingdom with his family, including his daughter Liana. Ramsay described the holiday as “a very good time to reflect, take a breather, and start the new year right.”
Faith and family have been central to his recovery. Ramsay shared that prayer, church, and support from friends and loved ones helped him regain perspective.
“During that time, you can easily make wrong decisions. I was lost. But I found [the] strength to focus on myself, rebuild, and be there for my parents and my daughter,” he said.
He also reflected on his past mistakes, acknowledging that emotions sometimes got the better of him during his marriage. To reset, Ramsay traveled to Indonesia for yoga therapy and spent a couple of weeks in Japan.
When asked about the specifics of his split from Adarna, he was clear about boundaries: “Ayoko nang pag-usapan ‘yan. I just want to move on with my life and focus on my family. Ang daming battles eh. You just have to choose your battles.”
Ramsay and Adarna had been in the public eye over their marital issues, which came to the forefront last year through social media posts. The couple married in 2021 and welcomed Liana in 2024.
