Daiana Menezes may be Brazilian by blood, but she is Filipino by heart. She writes on her birthday fundraiser page: “[I’ve lived] in the Philippines for 13 years and I can’t just watch what is happening to the people of the country that I love.”
And that is why, for her birthday month, the actress-model has set up a fundraiser that aims to feed 2,500 Filipino families that have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. “Unemployment is just one of the known problems we face today due to this pandemic, we have to take action in addressing this raising concern, helping one another is a start” — Daiana wrote on her Instagram page. Her birthday is on June 20th.
Daiana’s birthday campaign, called Live from GCQ with Love, aims to raise 1 million pesos. This will help feed 2,500 Filipino families at an estimated allocation of P400 per family. It’s a big amount, but with the help of kind-hearted fellow Filipinos who have some to spare, it’s not impossible. For a minimum amount of P100, you can help make a change in these families’ lives.

Live from GCQ with Love is a series of fundraising events online that will be live-streamed simultaneously on Daiana Menezes’ Instagram and Facebook pages. As part of the fundraising initiative, special gifts and prizes will be given out to viewers of each live stream. To be eligible to win a prize, all you have to do is donate a minimum of P100, which will go straight to the cause and be used to feed the 2,500 families in need. Daiana teases that major prizes await on the final episode! On top of that, special surprise guests are also expected to appear in the live streams.
