DADA LIFE Goes Bananas in HYVE
Dada Life, the Swedish duo behind club bangers “Kick Out the Epic Motherf***er”, “Unleash the F***ing Dada”, “Feed the Dada”, and “So Young, So High” delivered a one-of-a-kind DJ performance in Hyve this October 9th, taking the crowd to a trip to their fictionalized nation of Dada Land in the most memorable way possible.
Formed in 2006 and composed of Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom, the duo is famous for their undeniable stage presence and their high-energy performances. DADA LIFE has since performed in Electronic Music’s biggest events such as the Future Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, just to name a few. The duo is recognized in the progressive house genre for their use of humor and self-references in their music.
True enough; the two delivered a spectacular set in Hyve, augmented by their crazy inflatable bananas and wearable smile masks. In true Dada Life fashion, the duo sprayed the crowd with copious amounts of champagne driving the people into frenzy. The night was punctuated by the duo initiating a pillow fight (of which they are credited for hosting the largest one in Chicago a year ago), sending feathers in the air and having the crowd jump in glee.
