Crescent Moon Cafe: A Delightful Eat and Quiet Escape from the City

After enjoying the appetizers, we indulged in the set meal available for the day – yummy eggplant salad, the delectable grilled salmon and my ever favourite lipsmacking buttered shrimp.

A scrumptious suman (sweet rice in a banana leaf) and mango desert was provided after the hearty meal. It was indeed a delight to end the meal with this native treat.

A little bit of trivia: Crescent Moon Cafe in Antipolo started out as a small pottery studio by artist/ceramist Ms. Lanelle Abueva-Fernando before it eventually blossomed into a full-blown restaurant-cafe. Lanelle happens to be the niece of National artist Napoleon Abueva, which explains why there is a small handmade ceramics store inside the cafe itself.

There is a varied display of beautifully designed objects, such as plates, saucers and cups, and at the back of the restaurant, there is a showroom of ceramic products with slight defects that are still functional and are on sale by bulk at Php200 per kilo.

Crescent Moon Cafe

Crescent Moon Cafe opens during lunchtime on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm. The set meal costs Php350/head and P450/head on Sundays.

Just remember that there is no predetermined menu. The set of food choices of the day depends on the available fresh ingredients.
