It’s confirmed! Season 8 will air in 2019. Yes, that’s right. We still have to wait long before we see the final season of ‘Game of Thrones.’

The final season, which is said to have started production in October 2017, is expected to finish filming in the middle of 2018. Despite that, fans will still have to wait more or less than a year before eventually getting the opportunity to watch the new and final season.

According to HBO, the season 8 of ‘Game of Thrones’ are being directed by David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, David Nutter, and Miguel Sapochnik. The writers are Benioff and Weiss as well as Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill. Casey Bloys, HBO’s head of programming, reportedly said that to prevent “leaks or hack” of the series, multiple endings will be filmed for the final season.

No specific month has been announced yet, but we will all surely see the series in 2019.

The Emmy Award-winning series reportedly has about 30 million viewers in the United States alone with several devoted fans around the world.
