When one thinks of Poblacion, it usually equates to late-night watering holes, great food, and great music. Just when you thought you’ve already explored all of what Poblacion has to offer, there’s a new establishment that’s just been added to this buzzing and vibrant part of Makati City.
Cloudscape is a new multifunctional space in Poblacion that offers a sanctuary for artists “to share their craft and connect with a vibrant community.”
Here’s what Cloudscape is all about in three simple words: art, music, and dining. With these three words all in one space, a great time is guaranteed.
Cloudscape opened in mid-September of 2023, so they’re definitely one of the freshest newcomers in the area. But with one step into their space, we’re sure it’s on the way to becoming one of the hottest establishments in Poblacion.
Stepping inside, we were welcomed by comfy seating options, bar tables, and a wide open space in the middle where the art gallery is also located. Beautiful and eye-catching artworks are hung on the walls all around Cloudscape. It’s hard not to instantly walk towards them and admire them for as long as you can!
Cloudscape mounts a new exhibit and features a new artist every month, so you have more than enough reason to add a visit to this spot to your monthly calendar.
This bistro offers a moody industrial vibe with its minimalist interiors. It’s quite the perfect blank canvas for all the artwork they showcase. There’s also a second floor where you can check out more artwork, look at the art gallery from above, and enjoy a bit more privacy.
If you’re looking for a place with amazing music, you also don’t have to look any further. Cloudscape features a DJ, and their space is ready for live music performances. Your favorite artist just might perform here very soon!
Thought it all ends with their art space and great music? Think again! Even if you’re not into art or awesome music (really?!), you’ll surely their mouthwatering Mediterranean-Western fusion food menu and refreshing cocktails.
You might be used to enjoying Poblacion dining at night, but Cloudscape will change that soon enough with their newest brunch menu.
One must-try dish is their hearty Avocado Toast which is filled with flavor, topped with deliciously fresh avocado and poached egg, and served with a flavorful fresh salad. You might think that this is just another millennial breakfast dish, but Cloudscape really makes sure you are filled and satisfied by your last bite.
It’s also perfect to partner with their cafe latte for a complete brunch meal.
For appetizers and bar chow, Cloudscape offers amazing variety. One of my favorites was their chicken poppers which tasted like Taiwanese fried chicken. Fair warning: they are addicting and you’ll find yourself with an empty plate soon enough! It’s also perfect to pair with a bucket of beer.
Their potato chip nachos also offered the perfect crunch with each bite. It comes with various dips that offer so much flavor to their crispy potato chips.
With appetizers covered, now the mains get the spotlight.
The Cloudscape Burger is one of their bestsellers and with good reason. The homemade beef patty is massive, super juicy, and flavorful! It’s complemented perfectly by Cloudscape’s special BBQ coffee sauce and runny cheese sauce. There’s so much flavor in each bite thanks to all these special sauces.
Their chef creates pretty much everything from scratch—including their delicious and crispy homemade fries. And this is also probably why their food is so good!
Another must-try dish is their Tex-Mex Style Beef Ribs BBQ which features slow-cooked fall-off-the-bone ribs with some flavorful homemade BBQ sauce. It’s also super filling thanks to the equally delicious sides such as grilled corn elotes and fries.
Recently, they’ve also released new flatbread pizzas with sauces made from scratch and super fresh toppings. We loved their take on the classic Margherita pizza!
While Cloudscape’s vibe and amazingly tasty food menu are more than enough to provide you with an unforgettable experience at Poblacion, you can’t really ignore their refreshing cocktails.
They have quite a range of signature cocktails from their bar. You’re sure to find a favorite instantly!
There’s the Poblacion Vogue which is somewhat like a classic bourbon whisky drink with the blend of sweet apple.
My personal favorite was the Sexy Lady, which is Cloudscape’s sweeter version of an Aperol spritz.
You may find your favorite cocktail at Cloudscape, but you definitely have to try each one at least once!
With its exquisite food menu, cocktails you’ll come back for, great artworks on exhibit, and an overall tasteful and invigorating vibe, Cloudscape just might be your new favorite spot in Poblacion.
They also hold exciting events regularly, including dance parties and thrilling DJ sets. If you’re looking for an exciting place to unwind after a day at work, or even a place to work remotely, Cloudscape can be that space for you!
