Chopstop: Your Perfect Stop for Chops, Chows and Chugs

The Chopstop menu is subdivided into three C’s: Chops (slices of either pork or chicken), Chows (side dishes/finger food), Chugs (drinks/alcohol).

Get ready to drool! 

There was a meat feast when we tried the chops. The first that came in is Tonkatsu Pork Chop — tender, juicy and cereal-breaded. 

On the chicken chops, we have the Chicken Gravy Chop, which was the classic, tender, cereal-breaded chicken chops partnered with gravy. On the other hand, Chili Chicken Chop is that same chicken with a hot pop. The spiciness is just enough to get you grabbing more.

Another good find is the Meat Loaf, which is pork mixed with bell pepper, garlic and raisins – an awesome combination for the taste buds! The Pulled Pork surprised my tongue with its sweet and salty thrill. Both came with side dishes of scrambled eggs.

For the chows, we tried two. My best friend’s favorite was the Chili Dynamites. The breaded green chili stuffed with the awesomeness of pork made her day.

A bestseller banged my mouth with hotness: the Buffalo Wings! It is the perfect finger food if you decided to go to Chopstop for glasses or bottles of drinks and a good time talking with friends.

Speaking of drinks, next on the list are the Chugs! Barkadas, office workers flock here for get-togethers. The list of drinks, I now give to you: glasses of classic/four seasons Margarita, Screwdriver, Tequila Sunrise, Long Island Iced Tea and Mango/Lychee Martini. The said drinks can also be ordered in pitchers except for the mango/lychee martini. There also come beer bucket offerings. 

I was there during the “unholy hours” of eating – around 2PM. It was a haven of silence! I actually noticed a kuya enjoying his date with his laptop when we were there. (Haha) But, according to the Eastwood store manager, the house is fully packed at night. So now you know what time suits your visit.

Back to the food: I was looking for something to go back for now and then. Then there came my favourite part of every meal – the dessert! I loved it when they served something that you will not find just anywhere. In front of me are mug cakes in two flavors: red velvet (dark red-colored cake) and brownie (sweetness overload with a scoop of ice cream on top).

You have two options for this treat: get one tall mug cake or get two small mugs (one with mug cake and the other, with coffee). We had that mug cake and coffee duo. It was perfect! Here’s evidence how I loved the brownie mug cake plus coffee:

They also had other treats that we weren’t able to try, as well, such as the fish and chips, nachos, cheesy bacon fries, onion rings, milkshakes, pasta meals (bacon and mac cheese, meatball spaghetti and chicken parmigiana). I’m making all of those things reasons to make stop by again. 

At the end of the meal – full, satisfied and definitely coming back for more – I wondered what tagline Chopstop holds. Then, I realized it was all over the place: We love Chops. I turned to my dining buddy:

Me: We love chops?

Her: Yeah! We love chops.

Me: We love chops!
