Food spots are nothing new in Manila, but as the older, more popular establishments turn from ‘best-ever’ to ‘boring’, pro chow hunters and casual foodies alike are always on the look-out for new experiences for the taste buds. Enter Foodgasm 2014, a food-tasting competition which featured up-and-coming food businesses in the metro.
Foodgasm 2014 – The Fourth Installment
Organized by the UP Economics Society (or UP EcoSoc), Foodgasm 2014 is a food-tasting event and competition featuring different takes on old staples, all from new and local food businesses. The general format is pretty simple: guests and attendees are given a simple rating system, and are let loose among the food stalls. Highest-rated food stall wins! There are several guest judges, all food bloggers, and media guests.
