Stranger Things was the TV phenomenon of 2016. Since it premiered last year (all eight episodes were released simultaneously, as is Netflix’s tradition), Rotten Tomatoes gave the series a 94%, saying, “Exciting, heartbreaking, and sometimes scary, Stranger Things acts as an addictive homage to Spielberg films and vintage 1980s television.” It has spawned merchandise, theories, thinkpieces, and careers out of the young stars. In fact, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in the show, was one of the featured guests at last year’s AsiaPOP Comicon in Manila.
Season two will be back on October 27, and Netflix finally released a new trailer for the show.

Stranger Things follows a group of young boys whose friend goes missing, not knowing that his disappearance is tied to a top-secret government experiment that involves monsters and a creepy parallel universe. For its second season, the missing Will Byers returns and seems to be the first person who realizes that not everything is as it should be. If the trailer above is anything to go by, then it looks like season two is going to be action-packed.
