Check Out This Hilarious Sneak Peek of the “Rocko’s Modern Life” Movie!

Rocko's Modern Life movie

People who grew up in the ’90s are brimming with nostalgia. Following news that there’s going to be new movies for Hey Arnold! and Legends of the Hidden Temple, it was recently announced that there’s going to be a Rocko’s Modern Life movie, too! And the trailer is out now!

Watch it below:

The TV movie will reportedly bring the characters back to Earth after “being lost in outer space since 1996. Rocko has trouble accepting this 21st century modern life, while Heffer and Filburt embrace every aspect of new technology, social media and the endless diversity of food trucks. Rocko wholeheartedly believes that his nostalgia for the past can save him from the tortures of the modern world.”

The original show follows the life of Rocko, a wallaby who works in a comic store in a fictional town called O-Town. There, he interacts with his boss Mr. Smitty, his neighbors the Bigheads, and his friends Heffer Wolfe, Filburt, and his dog Spunky.

It aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1996, and became a hit because of its adult humor featuring innuendos and double entendres. It was also critically praised, with IGN calling it a “sophisticated, intelligent brand of children’s programming.” When the show was cancelled, many of the staff helped build SpongeBob SquarePants.

The original voice cast will be returning for the TV movie, which will be airing in 2018. The actors returning for the role are Carlos Alazraqui (who voiced Rocko, Spunky, and Leon), Tom Kenny (who voiced Heffer, Chuck, and Really Really Big Man), Mr. Lawrence (who voiced Filburt Turtle), Charlie Adler (who voiced Ed and Bev Bighead, Mr. Dupette, Grandpa Wolfe, and Mrs. Fathead), Linda Wallem  (who voiced Aunt Gretchen and Dr. Hutchinson), Jill Talley (who voiced Nosey), and Joe Murray (who voiced Ralph).
