Captain America: Civil War – Possibly the Best Superhero Movie This Year

There are a lot of superhero movies coming out this year alone.

Being a huge DC Comics fan since childhood, I thought Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in itself was already really good and pretty hard to beat. As such, Captain America: Civil War came as an unbelievably amazing surprise.

Without giving away any spoilers, the movie is possibly the best superhero movies this year and possibly even the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movie so far.

Of course, movie preferences are subjective, though, so this is all just coming from a humble fan of entertaining and well-executed superhero movies.

I can definitely say that the movie lives up to the hype. There is a ton of action right from the beginning. The humour is well-placed, tasteful and actually funny. (I didn’t roll my eyes at any corny lines because there aren’t any.) There isn’t a single dull moment in the movie, in general, to be honest. I actually found myself biting my nails and sitting at the edge of my seat more than once.

The best part? Everyone has their moment in this one. Not once did I feel like a superhero didn’t get enough airtime or didn’t need to be there because each and every one of them had a part to play – a part that mattered and a part that was memorable.

And oh, the Captain America-loving ladies (and gay men) will get the chance to ogle at the arms of Captain America for a generous amount of time in one particular scene. There were woots and woohoos all around the theatre when I watched at the PMCM screening the other night.

Special thanks to Wheninmanila.com, Resorts World Manila and PMCM Events Management in cooperation with CROSS Marvel Pens, Hygienix, Lotus Biscoff, Gluta C, Moringga O2, YouC1000, Yoshinoya, Kettle Korn , AMSPEC Crayola and IFlick Photo Booth for making the night happen. 🙂
Have you seen the movie yet? What did you think of it? Would definitely love to hear your thoughts! 🙂
