Marvel’s Civil War is Coming: Here’s Why I Choose to be on #TeamCap

Captain America: Civil war is the 14th instalment of the vastly growing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). One of the most exciting storylines in the Marvel graphic novels, “Civil War” (2006-2007), is definitely one of my favourites. This version of Civil War is adopted from one of Marvel’s most iconic stories, and The Russos (Joe and Anthony Russo, Directors) are taking a different scope on this.

Captain America vs Iron Man Civil War Teams

The teams might not be as big as the ones in the graphic novels based on the trailers we have all seen, but this will be a take on a personal story on Captain America, which I think would be a suitable sequel to one of the best movies in the MCU. Having that said, I’m in!

The Marvel Fandom is forced to pick which sides they are on: #TeamCap or #TeamIronman. This article will be based on why I chose to be on #TeamCap.

The Team Members

Captain America vs Iron Man Civil War Teams

  • Falcon (Anthony Mackie)
  • Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp)
  • Hawkeye (Jeremy Rener)
  • Ant-man (Paul Rudd)
  • Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan)
  • Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen)
  • And our #TeamCaptain Captain America (Chris Evans)

Clearly, #TeamIronman is outnumbered and overpowered. Okay, I will give props to Iron Man’s team for having all of that technology to make them look cool and for having Spider-man (Welcome to the MCU, Parker) on their team. What good are Iron Man suits when any one of the members of Captain’s team can easily rip off Tony’s Arc Reactor from the armour, though?

The Storyline

The Captain America movies from the MCU are awesome, particularly Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014), which I believe is one of the top three Marvel movies by far. On the other hand, Iron Man 3 was NOT good at all, since they ruined the image of one of his archnemeses (The Mandarin), Captain America, therefore, still holds its place as the best storylines in the MCU. Period. I do hope this movie tops Winter Soldier.

The Beliefs

Captain America was once America’s poster boy when he was a part of the Nazi war against Hydra. As time passed, Captain America slowly noticed that this was not the type of defending he signed up for (based on the events that occurred during the Avengers movie, Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron). I believe the Superhero Registration Act will play a big role in this movie, of which Captain is not a fan of. This makes Captain America relatable and human.

Personal Feature

As such, #TeamCap is where I want to be! Captain stands up for what he believes in. No one can blame him for having trust issues against the government, and he stated that he hates bullies, but will definitely stand up to anyone who stands in the way. Also, Captain America is loyal!! He would rather choose to side with his best friend (Winter Soldier) over his Avengers teammates. In other words: #MayForever :p

Whose side are you on? 🙂
