“You may be Captain America, but you’re not Steve Rogers,” Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) tells Sam Wilson a.k.a. Falcon (Anthony Mackie) in the new MCU trailer. In this upcoming MCU movie, Falcon officially takes the role of Captain America following the retirement of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in the 2019 global hit Avengers: Endgame.

Ross, whom we first saw in the 2018 film The Incredible Hulk as a United States military officer and the father of Betty Ross, becomes president of the US with the intent of having the new Captain America work with the government.

Before Sam Wilson spreads his Falcon wings while wielding Captain America’s shield, he says, “You’re right, I’m not.”

Marvel Studios also announced the release date of Captain America: Brave New World! It will make its premiere in theaters on February 14, 2025.
