Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University posted memos that invite members of their communities to wear black on their UAAP game on Sunday, October 2.
This invitation is in light of two things:
- opposition to the the possible burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani
- growing number of extra-judicial killings in the country
Both universities invite members to wear either black clothing (shirts, blouses, sweaters, jackets) or black clothing accessories (arm bands, scarves, bandanas) to the game.
