The greatest gift we can offer our pets isn’t just love—it’s a chance at a longer, healthier life.
Biyaya Animal Care, a mission-driven social enterprise, recently turned three milestones into meaningful community impact by partnering with local government units to deliver over 1,300 complimentary spay and neuter (kapon) procedures and vaccinations across Metro Manila.

For Biyaya, kapon is more than a medical procedure—it’s an act of compassion and the most effective way to address pet overpopulation, the root cause of animal abandonment, stray issues, and public health concerns such as rabies. Each prevented litter means fewer animals born into hardship and more pets living healthier, longer lives.
Biyaya’s recent initiatives have made a powerful impact across Metro Manila:
-
The “Aspin Ako, Kapon Ako” initiative celebrated National Aspin Day, serving 100 aspins in partnership with the Mandaluyong City Veterinary Office.
-
Their 3rd Anniversary and Cat Month event provided vital care to 200 female puspins.
-
Most notably, in coordination with the Manila City LGU, Biyaya conducted over 1,000 free kapon services at Luneta Park for World Animal Month—one of their largest single-day outreach events to date.
What made the Luneta gathering special wasn’t just its scale but its sense of community. Pet owners, volunteer veterinarians, animal welfare advocates, and veterinary students came together for a shared purpose. Kawa Pilipinas Foundation, led by Mae Paner, supported the event by providing meals to participants and volunteers.
Biyaya continues to cultivate a growing community of animal welfare advocates through its social enterprise model, which sustains itself through every service and purchase. Every procedure at Biyaya Animal Care and every item bought from Pawshoppe by Biyaya directly supports their mission-driven programs.
By supporting their initiatives, volunteering, or becoming an advocate, Filipinos can help create a compassionate future—one step closer to a #StrayFreeRabiesFreePhilippines2035.
