BINI Releases First Mini Album “Talaarawan”

P-pop girl group BINI officially released its diary-inspired extended play (EP) “Talaarawan” on March 8, bringing a vibrant and refreshing sound

Since this is their first-ever mini album, BINI tackled the perspective of the youth on friendship, love, and navigating through life. “Talaarwan” features six tracks, including “Salamin, Salamin,” “Ang Huling Cha Cha,” “Na Na Nandito Lang,” “Diyan Ka Lang,” and their recent hits “Karera” and “Pantropiko.”

“Very excited kami sa ilalabas namin dahil this will be our first EP. Gusto namin ma-feel ng supporters namin na para nilang kaming diary na pwede nilang lapitan about anything kasi gano’n yung bond namin sa kanila. It’s an open communication,” Jhoanna shared.

The main track “Salamin, Salamin” was produced by Mat Olavides and Bojam of FlipMusic, which captures the whimsical feeling of daydreaming about a potential crush.

BINI decided to release “Talaarawan” on International Women’s Day to champion their advocacy on women empowerment.

“Our advocacy is also women empowerment. We always want to inspire women, and not just women but we want to make sure that people feel confident in their own skin. That’s why I think that March 8 is the perfect date,” Mikha told ABS-CBN News.

Dubbed the “Nation’s girl group,” BINI is known for their hits “Pantropiko,” “Na Na Na,” “Lagi,” and “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi.” The girl group comprises Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena. They formed through Star Hunt Academy (SHA) and officially debuted in June 2021 with their first single, “Born To Win.”
