This Is How Billy Crawford Reacted to “It’s Showtime” Moving to GTV

Billy Crawford felt nothing but love for his former “It’s Showtime” family which has now found its new home on GMA Network’s GTV channel.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that aired on June 30, Billy revealed what his reaction was at the time to the news of the noontime show’s transfer.

“Nasa Paris ako at that time. Pagbukas ko nakita ko nga kung ano ang nangyayari sa industriya. And you know my honest opinion and my feeling towards this: I am so happy,” he said.

Billy used to be among “It’s Showtime’s” mainstay hosts before he left ABS-CBN Network in September 2020 to host the now-defunct program “Lunch Out Loud” on TV5.

“I started with ‘Showtime’ in noontime. I met my wife [Coleen Garcia], I started my family through this show. I am so happy that kahit paano they are still not left behind, there’s still a home for them kahit paano,” Billy added. “And that’s the same thing that GMA did for me, they welcomed me back kahit paano, you know? So it’s a new beginning and I’m very excited for Philippine TV.”

Billy is soon joining the panel of judges of GMA Network’s singing competition “The Voice Generations” alongside Chito Miranda, Julie Anne San Jose, Stell of SB19, and Dingdong Dantes. He recently won “Danse avec les stars” which is the French version of “Dancing With the Stars” with his dance partner, Fauve Hautot.
