The local custom motorcycle culture was once again celebrated at Kustomanila 2025!

Yamaha Motor Philippines presented Kustomanila 2025: A Tradition of Art, Passion, and Custom Culture. Held on May 24 and 25 at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, this year’s event showcased some of the Philippines’ most stunning and striking builds. It brought together up-and-coming custom garages, industry pioneers, and international custom builders, including five daring builders who vied for the title of best custom Yamaha PG-1 in the Yamaha PG-1 Biker Build-off!

Attendees at KustoManila 2025 even had the chance to test ride the Yamaha PG-1 themselves, experiencing its capabilities firsthand. The Yamaha PG-1 Biker Build-off contenders included Laguna’s No Name Garage, Quezon City’s Club Makina Custom Garage, Bulacan’s HB Customs, Manila’s 1008 Moto Garage, and Pangasinan’s Motoyaki Customs. They were challenged to customize a Yamaha PG-1 that revealed their passion for outdoor adventure, amplifying the motorcycle’s known quality as a unique outdoor companion, while maintaining its purpose and rideability. While their custom Yamaha PG-1 builds all stole the spotlight at the event, only one was ultimately crowned the Yamaha PG-1 Biker Build-off champion!

After much deliberation among the builders, the competition boiled down to the top two contenders: Manila’s 1008 Moto Garage and Pangasinan’s Motoyaki Customs.

In the end, Motoyaki Customs from Pangasinan bagged the championship title—a win that surprised no one in the enthusiastic crowd. Their custom Yamaha PG-1 was a complete and innovative transformation, bringing their unique brand and personality to life in the final product. The builder stated his preference for reworking existing parts rather than discarding them. He even personally handled the wirings, which included making the PG-1 logo light up! This meticulous approach meant almost every component, from front to rear, was either replaced or cleverly integrated for a stunning new look that truly made his build stand out.
